Air Ducts & Silencers

Air ducts and silencers form the backbone of any efficient ventilation, heating, and air conditioning system. Cairox offers a complete range of solutions for air distribution and acoustic treatment, adapted to the specific needs of HVAC professionals.

A comprehensive range for all your projects

Our offering includes spiral ducts made of "Sendzimir" quality galvanized steel, available in a wide range of diameters (from 80 to 1250 mm) and appropriate thicknesses. These ducts, compliant with airtightness class C according to EN 12237 standard, guarantee optimal rigidity and aeraulic performance.

For connections and direction changes, we offer perfectly compatible accessories: 60° and 90° elbows, connection pieces with rubber seals, and mounting brackets. Our range is complemented by different types of flexible ducts (aluminum, acoustic, insulated) to adapt to all installation configurations.

High-performance acoustic solutions

Cairox silencers are specially designed to effectively reduce noise generated by fans and air conditioning equipment. Available in circular and rectangular versions, our silencers offer superior acoustic attenuation, particularly in critical octave bands (63 to 500 Hz).

Our BTH-B2 rectangular silencers incorporate high-performance acoustic baffles with mineral wool filling protected by cellulose film or galvanized steel plates. Non-combustible (class A1 according to Euroclass DIN EN 13501-1), they are suitable for air velocities up to 20 m/s between baffles.

Applications and sectors

Cairox air ducts and silencers are designed to meet the requirements of ventilation and air conditioning installations in various sectors:

  • Commercial buildings (offices, retail, schools, hospitals)
  • Multi-residential housing
  • Industrial facilities
  • Technical rooms requiring precise acoustic control

Compliance and performance

All our products are manufactured according to current European standards and offer optimal airtightness, resistance, and acoustic insulation performance. Cairox spiral ducts achieve airtightness class C, ensuring maximum energy efficiency for your installations.

Our technical team supports you in selecting products adapted to your projects, with specific sizing tools and calculators to optimize your air duct networks.

Expertise and technical support

With 80 sales points across Europe, Cairox offers proximity and technical expertise for all your projects. Our specialists advise you on choosing the right ducts and silencers for your needs, taking into account acoustic constraints, air flow rates, and the specificities of your installations.

Your Frequently Asked Questions

Cairox spiral ducts achieve airtightness class C according to EN 12237 standard, guaranteeing excellent aeraulic performance and minimizing leaks. This performance also depends on the quality of on-site installation.

The choice mainly depends on the configuration of your air duct network. Circular silencers integrate into spiral duct networks, while BTH-B2 rectangular silencers are ideal for high air flow rates and offer superior attenuation in low frequencies (63-500 Hz).

The thickness varies according to diameter: 0.4 mm for Ø 80-180 mm, 0.5 mm for Ø 180-250 mm, 0.6 mm for Ø 280-400 mm, 0.7 mm for Ø 450-500 mm, 0.8 mm for Ø 560-800 mm, and 1.0 mm for Ø 900-1000 mm. These thicknesses ensure optimal rigidity and durability.

Our ISOFLEX insulated flexible ducts offer excellent thermal protection, but for outdoor installations, additional protection against UV and weather is recommended. Consult our experts for solutions adapted to your specific project.

To minimize pressure losses, favor direct routes with minimal elbows, use large radius elbows, correctly size your ducts according to flow rates, and opt for silencers with flow guides (V option) which can reduce pressure losses by up to 20%.

Silencers must comply with acoustic requirements defined by local regulations (such as NRA in France), as well as fire safety standards (Euroclass DIN EN 13501-1). Our BTH-B2 silencers are classified A1 (non-combustible) and offer documented acoustic performance for each octave band.
